DONALD A. WRIGHT

Without question, we are in a pivotal time in the Earth where compassion, progressive leadership, patriarchal experience, and the anointing of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ must be at the helm of bridging generations as we prepare for the Second Advent of our Lord.

Dr. Donald A. Wright is a prime candidate to be a part of leading the charge with his more than 40+ years as a committed clergyman, counselor, and accomplished author.

Dr. Wright was born and raised in Washington, DC and holds three doctorates in Theology, Ministry, and Psychology and has been called to help Christians discover, resolve, and release the hidden pain that inhibits spiritual growth, divine worship, and the fulfillment of purpose; through the glory and power of God. Additionally he completed Post-Doctoral Training at Harvard Divinity School: Leadership Institute.

As the Senior Pastor of The Gathering at Forestville (Maryland), his visionary leadership and unwavering dedication have positioned him as one of the most sought-after pastors globally.

Dr. Wright’s influence extends beyond the pulpit, having been selected alongside 30 other African-American religious leaders to participate in a White House summit during the Clinton Administration, providing religious guidance to government officials regarding the well-being of communities nationwide. He has also received the following accolades and awards: Mayoral Award (Mayor of Washington, DC) and the Presidential Award (President George Bush, Sr.).

Dr. Wright serves as the Presiding Prelate and spiritual covering to The Gathering of Churches & Ministries which spans across the United States. His primary focus is carving out a space for Leaders to uncover, address, and liberate hidden pain through transformative avenues of worship and spiritual growth; which in turn builds Leaders who are now able to pastor, prophecy, and declare the mysteries of our Lord thus reshaping the lives of every individual they encounter.

Over his tenure he is also known as a bestselling author, having penned: Tonight We Wrestle, How Can This Be Fair, and The Ark Has Turned Aside. These literary works were birthed out of the desire to bring freedom to all those daring to break free from the inner struggles that prevent them from seeing who they are and their potential for greatness.

While his academic achievements, literary success, and longevity in pastorship are impressive, what sets Dr. Wright apart is his focus, desire, and determination to create an atmosphere of true Worship where God be glorified and God’s people are free to commune with Him, in Spirit and in Truth. Standing on Lamentations 3:22-23, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness…”

Dr. Wright leads with grace, compassion, and the belief that everyone is welcome in His presence.

He is married to the lovely Dr. Nakia Wright and they along with children and granddaughter (and dog Bingo) reside in Bowie, Maryland.
