Dr. Nakia R. Wright

A native of Prince George’s County, Maryland, Dr. Nakia R. Wright is a wife, mother, mentor, founder of A Woman’s Voice Matters, motivational speaker, and much more. However, first and foremost Dr. Wright is a servant to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and believes, without wavering, in the strength of Holy Writ. Her commitment to being a strong voice emphasizing core values of hope and possibilities in the Earth is one to be admired and is daily bringing to life the Scripture, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you…”

Nakia has more than 25 years of varied experience in the political, non-profit, and faith arenas. She holds a Doctorate in Philosophy and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for The Gathering at Forestville, serving under the leadership of Bishop Donald A. Wright. Additionally, she serves in the Maryland State Treasurer’s Office.

Dr. Wright has a clear vision of what matters most and is committed to paving the way to success while building authentic relationships and serving the people of God.

Dr. Nakia Wright is married to The Honorable Bishop Donald A. Wright and the two currently reside in Bowie, Maryland with their children and granddaughter.
